Sherry is a friend to many, a dedicated member of our team, and a true champion for student success. In the transportation garage, she works tirelessly to ensure our athletes, clubs, and field trips have the coverage they need. She even steps in to help cover routes when a driver is absent. Sherry is a remarkable asset to our district and it's a tremendous honor to celebrate her as our staff champion of the month!

Mr. Cody has served the Western Hills community for several years as a history teacher, basketball coach, and most recently, assistant principal. Superintendent Mark Kopp shared his enthusiasm for the appointment, stating, “We are very excited for the future of Western Hills with Geoff Cody as principal. He truly exemplifies student-centered leadership and will work tirelessly to ensure Western Hills High School reaches its fullest potential.”
Mr. Cody expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity, saying, “I am excited for this opportunity to be the next leader at Western Hills. I love this school and I love the people I work with. I have worked with really good leaders since I have been here and I am humbled to be in the position to be the next principal here. I told the committee that I am not coming in to learn the school but to lead it. We have great teachers here and I am looking forward to working with them to make sure our students have everything they need when they walk across the stage to receive their diploma and head out into the world and for them to look back and say they had a great high school experience.”
Mr. Cody will succeed Dr. Ryan King, who has served as principal for the past four school years. Franklin County Schools extends sincere thanks to Dr. King for his dedication and leadership.
Congratulations, Mr. Cody!
