Franklin County Schools (FCS) is proud to announce that the Early Learning Village (ELV) is celebrating student and staff achievements each month of the school year with a success assembly. As our entire district stays “Focused”—this year’s district-wide theme—the monthly assemblies highlight the commitment that makes ELV successful.
Honoring Students of the Month
The Students of the Month are young learners who demonstrate excellence in and out of the classroom. Selected students receive a certificate of achievement and a special yard sign to display proudly at home.

Character Strong Awards
ELV values positive character traits, and each month leadership selects a specific trait to focus on. In September, the trait was respect. Students who showed outstanding respect by treating peers, teachers, and school property with care and kindness were recognized with a character certificate and a moon sand activity kit to take home.

Attendance Achievements
Attendance is a crucial component of education that makes a significant difference for our students. ELV recognizes both individual and classroom dedication to attendance. Students who did not miss a single day of school throughout the month received individual attendance certificates, while classrooms that achieved 95% attendance or higher were honored collectively.

Recognizing Staff: The Superintendent’s Six “Little C” Words
Last year, Superintendent Kopp announced that courage was a driving force behind the district’s efforts to innovate, improve, and serve the community with excellence. Supporting this theme are six foundational “little c” words that shape our courageous actions: communication, cleanliness, customer service, climate, culture, and care plan. Staff members who embody these values were recognized for their commitment and dedication.

ELV will continue highlighting students and staff each month throughout the school year. We look forward to the ELV community staying focused, ready to learn, and striving for excellence every day.
