Franklin County Schools (FCS) is proud to announce that 60 students at Franklin County High School (FCHS) have officially been inducted into the Beta Club. The inductees bring the chapter’s active membership to 148 students.
The National Beta Club is an invitation-only organization that honors students who embody four core pillars: achievement, character, leadership, and service. At FCHS, students must maintain a 3.5 weighted GPA or higher to be a member. Students are expected to complete at least 10 volunteer hours each year, though many surpass that threshold. Last year, FCHS Beta members collectively contributed more than 1,600 hours of volunteer service to the school and local community.
“Leadership is about using your time, talents, and abilities to make a positive difference for others,” said Stacia Campbell, FCHS Beta Advisor. “We are incredibly proud of the commitment our Beta members show to their academics, their school, and their community, and we hope the impact of their service reflects the kind of leaders they are becoming.”
Campbell adds that the national Beta motto is “Let us lead by serving others,” and that is what FCHS hopes its students learn through their involvement with the club.
