Franklin County Schools (FCS) is proud to announce that Tim O’Doherty is September’s Employee Champion of the Month. Mr. O’Doherty, better known as “Mr. O,” is a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Bondurant Middle School.
During the school year, an employee of Franklin County Schools is nominated and selected as the month’s champion. The employees who are selected are positive role models, are invested in their school community, and are committed to upholding the district’s promise that every student succeeds.
Mr. O is an outstanding teacher who brings a deep knowledge of his curriculum to the classroom, but what sets him apart is his commitment to knowing the students above the grades. He invests time to know his students, their families, their interestes, and the things that motivate them. Mr. O is a great example of how an educator listens, builds relationships, and ensures students succeed.
Mr. O is an integral part of what it means at Bondurant Middle School when we say “Brave Today. Make An Impact. Shape Tomorrow.” He is brave in the way he invests in his students, makes an impact through the relationships he builds, and helps shape tomorrow by developing young people who are prepared to be successful beyond the walls of the school.
