Franklin County Schools is proud to recognize students who have been selected to participate in Kentucky’s prestigious Governor’s Scholars Program and Governor’s School for the Arts. These exceptional students were chosen from a highly competitive pool of applicants across the Commonwealth and represent the very best of academic achievement, creativity, and leadership.

Governor’s Scholars Program Selectees

The following students have been named Governor’s Scholars Program selectees:

FCHS:

  • Adam Alhamdani

  • Madeline Garland

  • Zane Jaques

  • Jackson Louden

WHHS:

  • Ethan Applegate

  • Ben Bayes

  • Michael Eades

  • Madeline Napier

  • Jillian Strong

Alternates for the Governor’s Scholars Program are Kaden Jewell, Brenna Lovins, James Roe, and Jackson Valladares both from FCHS.

Governor’s School for the Arts Selectees

Franklin County Schools is also celebrating FCHS students selected for the Governor’s School for the Arts, an intensive summer program designed to nurture artistic talent:

  • Eugenia Pridgen – Creative Writing

  • Anna Hope Lyles – Visual Arts

  • Ahmarya Toney – Visual Arts

  • Ayden Stigers – Musical Theater

  • Emma Taylor – Visual Arts

Alternates for the Governor’s School for the Arts are Jaden Downey (Dance) and Carly Hoofnagle (Vocal Music).
