We couldn’t be prouder of our Franklin County Flyers, who have once again earned the title of State Runner-Ups for the second consecutive year- a dream to most, a
reality to very few. While this may not have been the outcome we were all hoping for, we are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and resilience they’ve shown throughout the season. These young athletes have demonstrated what it means to be true competitors, representing our district with unmatched pride and sportsmanship.
A special shoutout goes to our seniors, who have given so much to this program. Their leadership, commitment, and passion have been a driving force behind this team’s success, and they’ve set a remarkable example for future Flyers to follow. As they close out their high school careers, we want to thank them for their years of hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. The impact they’ve had on this team and our community will not be forgotten.
We are also thrilled to recognize Coach Eddie James, who has been named Coach of the Year. This well-deserved honor is a reflection of his incredible leadership, tireless dedication, and ability to inspire these athletes to reach new heights. Coach James has been a cornerstone of the Flyers’ success, not just this season, but throughout his time with the program. His commitment to excellence, both on and off the field, has shaped these young athletes into the strong, determined team we saw compete at the highest level. We are so fortunate to have him leading the Flyers.
Their perseverance, teamwork, and commitment to excellence are a testament to the strength of our school community. Every player, coach, and supporter has played a vital role in this journey, and together we’ve witnessed a remarkable season. The Flyers’ spirit is something we will all carry with us, and this achievement is just one example of the many great things happening here at Franklin County Schools.
As we reflect on this incredible achievement, we know this is just the beginning for these talented students. The entire Franklin County School District stands behind them, celebrating their efforts and looking forward to the bright future ahead.
