Franklin County Bowling Teams Share Lanes and Laughter with Stewart Home School
Frankfort, KY — October 23, 2025 This past Saturday morning, students from Franklin County High School and Western Hills High School teamed up for something truly special—a friendly bowling match with the incredible students of Stewart Home & School, as part of an inclusive event titled “Connecting with a Purpose.”

The event was filled with smiles, high-fives, and plenty of strikes as students from all three schools came together to celebrate inclusion, connection, and the simple joy of being together. Bowling proved once again to be a sport where everyone can shine.
Located right here in Franklin County, Stewart Home & School is a residential school for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Their students bring so much heart, energy, and joy to every experience—and today was no exception.

A big thank-you to Coach Simpson for the kind invitation and to all the coaches and staff who helped make this event possible. Their efforts created a space where students of all abilities could connect, compete, and cheer each other on.

“This is what community looks like,” said FCHS' Nathan SImpson. “When we come together to lift each other up, everyone wins.”

We would like to say thank you to Capital Bowl for hosting such a joyful and inclusive event! Your welcoming space gave our students the chance to connect, compete, and celebrate together. We’re grateful for your partnership and the memories made on and off the lanes.
Franklin County Schools is proud to support events that build friendships, foster belonging, and remind us that we’re always better together.
