At Westridge Elementary, the 2025–2026 school year kicked off with a bold new motto: “Heroes in the Making.” And if you’ve spent even a moment in the halls of WRE, you know—it’s more than a slogan. It’s a reflection of the compassion, courage, and character that define our Timberwolves every single day.
From helping a classmate pick up spilled supplies to standing up for someone who feels left out, our students show us that heroism isn’t about capes or superpowers—it’s about kindness, empathy, and doing the right thing even when no one’s watching.
The Timberwolf spirit runs deep at Westridge. It’s in the way students cheer each other on during morning announcements, the way they collaborate during group projects, and the way they greet staff with smiles that light up the building. It’s a culture of care—one that’s been nurtured by dedicated teachers, supportive families, and a leadership team that believes in the power of community.
This year, “Heroes in the Making” is more than a theme—it’s a challenge. A challenge to be brave, to be thoughtful, and to be the kind of person who lifts others up. And our Timberwolves are rising to meet it, one act of kindness at a time.
We’re so proud of the students at Westridge for showing us what it means to lead with heart. They are, without a doubt, heroes in the making—and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll have on our school, our community, and the world.
