Franklin County High School | Class of 2009

Franklin County Schools is proud to celebrate the achievements of our alumni who continue to make a difference in their communities. This week, we’re excited to spotlight Jessica Callis, a 2009 graduate of Franklin County High School.

📚 A Passion for Education

After graduating from FCHS, Jessica pursued her dream of becoming an educator. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Kentucky State University in 2015, and later completed her master’s degree in school counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.

For the past 10 years, Jessica has been teaching elementary school, inspired by the incredible teachers she had during her time in Franklin County Schools.

“It’s because of great teachers I had at Franklin County that inspired me to become a teacher myself.”

💙 A Life Rooted in Franklin County

Jessica is married and raising her daughter, Ava, who is almost five years old. She continues to live in Franklin County, where her journey began.

“I will forever cherish my memories spent at FCS! Once a Flyer, always a Flyer! 💙💛”

Her story is a shining example of how a strong educational foundation and supportive school community can inspire a lifelong commitment to learning and service.
