Frankfort, KY — With pride and joy, The Academy proudly introduced the Class of 2025 to the Franklin County community. This year’s graduating class includes 19 remarkable students whose journey has been marked by resilience, determination, and a deep commitment to growth.
In a heartfelt ceremony, the graduates were honored for their strength, hard work, perseverance, and passion — qualities that have defined their time at The Academy and will continue to guide them into the future. The event was opened with opening remarks from Principal Sarah Vivian, followed by a keynote from City Commissioner, Katima Smith-Willis. Ms. Vivian spoke about the difficulties of life and how our Bulldogs can overcome those. Smith-Willis spoke about her own journey as a student and how she overcame her own personal challenges.
Ms. Gunn and the Academy staff members decorated KSU's Bradford Hall and everything looked beautiful.
Our Bulldogs listened to the speeches with great intent as they prepared to take on into the next chapter. Graduates, today marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Each of you holds the pen to your own story. Write boldly, dream fearlessly, and know that your Academy family will always be here, cheering you on.
Superintendent Mark Kopp handed out the diplomas.
The event served not only as a celebration of academic achievement but also as a tribute to the personal growth and community spirit that define The Academy experience. As these 19 students prepare to take their next steps, they carry with them the support of a school and a community that believes in their potential.
Congratulations to The Academy Bulldogs, Class of 2025 — your future is bright, and your story is just beginning.
