Carson Wallace and the FCS Board

At this month’s board meeting, Franklin County Schools proudly recognized another outstanding individual whose achievements span academics, athletics, and the arts. We are thrilled to name Carson Wallace of Western Hills High School as our May Student Champion of the Month.

As part of this recognition, Carson received the FCS Champion Belt, a $50 VISA gift card courtesy of our generous partner—Robinson Oil Company—and public acknowledgment for his remarkable accomplishments and contributions to the school community.

Carson’s list of achievements is nothing short of extraordinary. In February 2025, he was named a National Merit Finalist, placing him among the top academic performers in the nation. This prestigious honor reflects Carson’s dedication to excellence in the classroom and his commitment to academic growth.

But Carson’s talents extend far beyond academics. He is a key player on the Western Hills High School boys’ varsity volleyball team, where he has taken on critical roles such as Outside Hitter and Setter. His leadership and skill were on full display during an April 2025 match against Oldham County, where he delivered three aces from the service line to help secure a 2-1 victory. As of that match, the team held an impressive 14-6 record, with Carson playing a pivotal role in their success.

In addition to his academic and athletic pursuits, Carson is also a gifted musician. He is a proud member of the Kentucky All-State Band, a distinction awarded to the top high school musicians across the state. His involvement in the Western Hills community band further showcases his dedication to the arts and his well-rounded character.

Carson Wallace exemplifies what it means to be a Champion—balancing rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and artistic excellence with humility and heart. His achievements inspire those around him and reflect the very best of Western Hills High School and Franklin County Schools.

Congratulations, Carson! It is an honor to recognize you as our May Student Champion of the Month. Your hard work, talent, and leadership make a lasting impact on our community.
