FCS Board Members breakground at the new EES

This morning, our board members, architects, and district leadership team celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Elkhorn Elementary School. The ceremony took place at the new site located just off Lions Way near Elkhorn Creek. Superintendent Mark Kopp expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "It's an exciting time for Franklin County Schools, and we are thrilled that the new Elkhorn Elementary School will be situated near Elkhorn Creek."

The school is designed to accommodate 600 students and will include facilities for all preschool-aged children. The anticipated opening date is August 2027. We extend our gratitude to our board members, JRA Architects, and Wehr Contractors for their partnership in this project. As Mr. Wehr remarked, "This building will serve the Franklin County community for generations to come and will nurture future leaders for the county, state, and nation."

We are eager to witness this growth!
