WHHS archers

May be an image of 9 people and textApril 18th, 2025 | Yesterday, 13 of our archers from Western Hills High School really showed what they're made of at the state championship match. It was a day filled with excitement, hard work, and a whole lot of team spirit.

From the first arrow to the last, our archers were on point. Every shot reflected the hours of practice and the dedication they (and their coaches!) bring to the sport. The competition was tough, but our team stayed focused and competed with grace and sportsmanship.

Leading the pack was Maeher Joshi, who nailed an impressive score of 283 with a ten-count of 14. Her consistency and accuracy were truly inspiring. Sophia Mathis and Brooklynn Devers also delivered stellar performances, each scoring 278 with ten-counts of 17 and 14, respectively.

We also had standout performances from Allie Fint, Mia Ann Buezo, and Mercy Jaminet, who each played a crucial role in the team's success. Their scores and ten-counts highlighted their skill and determination, making them key players on the Western Hills archery team.

What really stood out was the support and camaraderie among our archers. They cheered each other on, shared tips, and celebrated every success together. This sense of unity and teamwork was a big part of their outstanding performance.

As the day wrapped up, our Western Hills archers had not only represented our school with pride but had also set a high bar for future competitions. Their achievements at the state championship are something we can all be proud of.

A huge congratulations to all our archers for their incredible performances and for embodying the spirit of Western Hills High School. We can't wait to see what they accomplish next!
