Brittany Beach, BPE Principal

April 15th, 2025 | The Franklin County School District and Bridgeport SBDM are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Principal at Bridgeport Elementary. With a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to education, she is poised to lead the Tigers to new heights. She will take the reins from outgoing principal, Ms. Stacy Rutledge, on July 1st. Rutledge has been the principal of Bridgeport Elementary since 2017, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavors.

Bridgeport Elementary is rich in tradition, and we know Principal Beach will continue these traditions with strong intentions. With 19 years of experience in the education field, all within Franklin County, she brings a rich background to her new role. Her journey includes 11 years as a classroom teacher, 2 years as an Instructional Coach, and the past 6 years as the Dean of Students for Hearn Elementary.

Principal Beach shared that the dedication of Bridgeport teachers and staff to creating a culture where students feel seen, valued, and eager to come to school inspired her to apply for the position. She knew this was a community she wanted to be a part of. When asked what she's most excited about, Beach shared, "I am truly excited to join the Tiger family and to learn firsthand what makes Bridgeport such a special and unique place to learn and grow."

We asked her what her favorite book is because we know #ReadersAreLeaders. She shared that her favorite book is "The Great Fuzz Frenzy," a delightful story that teaches teamwork, forgiveness, and the importance of sharing.

When Ms. Beach isn't working on driving instructional gains, she spends her free time outdoors, working in the yard, or relaxing on her back deck. She also has a passion for decorating and creating warm, welcoming spaces.

We are confident that her leadership will continue to foster a positive and nurturing environment at Bridgeport Elementary. Please join us in welcoming her to our school community!
