Varshith's journey began at Western Hills High School, where his exceptional academic talent and unyielding passion for learning quickly set him apart. His dedication and hard work earned him a coveted spot at the Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky, a prestigious residential program for gifted high school students.

At Gatton Academy, Varshith has continued to shine brightly, tackling rigorous coursework and engaging in groundbreaking research. His impressive accomplishments include:

Top 15 - National Biology Competition

Some of his research includes working with Dr. Ivan Luptak from Boston University's School of Medicine. Together, they collaborated on a research project that investigates the ABCB10 gene as it pertains to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Read his research HERE. Varshith recently shared this about the project, "Through the Research Internship Grant, I have learned about hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and its effect on the skeletal system with Dr. Ivan Luptak at Boston University’s School of Medicine. At Gatton, I’ve been given opportunities – like the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and USA Biology Olympiad... For these things, I am extremely grateful." (source)
