FRANKFORT, KY—Earlier this school year, FCHS proudly announced that all 16 Franklin County Flyers who auditioned for the 2026 Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) All‑State Choir were selected, achieving an exceptional 100% acceptance rate.
The KMEA All‑State Choir is recognized as one of Kentucky’s most competitive and prestigious vocal honors. Students earn placement only after a rigorous, multi‑stage audition process that begins at the district level, with only the highest‑scoring vocalists advancing to statewide selection. KMEA describes All‑State musicians as “the best of the best,” underscoring the difficulty of achieving this honor. [kmea.org]
