Franklin County Schools is proud to highlight the accomplishments of our alumni who continue to make a difference in their communities and professions. This week, we shine the spotlight on Allyson Martin Rawlings, a 2005 graduate of Western Hills High School.

🎶 A Journey in Music and Education

After graduating from FCS, Allyson pursued her passion for music and education. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University, followed by a master’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She later completed a Rank I certification from Morehead State University.

Allyson has dedicated the past 14 years to teaching, and she’s excited to begin a new chapter as the band director at Western Hills High School in the upcoming school year.

🎺 The Power of the Arts

Allyson credits her success to the strong foundation she received at FCS, particularly through the arts pathway she followed in high school. She shared:

“I chose an arts pathway that helped me immensely prepare for college while I was in high school. Mrs. Wallace was an outstanding mentor and has become a great friend who helped me prepare for a profession in music.”

💚 One Team, One Dream

Allyson’s story is a testament to the impact of dedicated educators and the opportunities available through Franklin County Schools. We are proud to call her one of our own and look forward to the inspiration she will bring to the next generation of students.
