Franklin County Preschool will begin screening for the 2022-2023 school year in April 2022. Anyone with a 3 or 4 year old child in Franklin County is encouraged to click HERE to fill out the parent interest form. An email will be sent a few weeks prior to the screening date which allows you to choose a time that works for your schedule.
2022-2023 School Year:
First Day of school for Kindergarten - 12th grade will be: August 11, 2022
However, the first day of school for Preschool will be: August 24, 2022
After completing our screening process, the teachers will notify parents/guardians of information needed to finalize enrollment into the preschool program.
Preschool Screening
If you are the parent or guardian of a 3 or 4 year old child that you believe could be at-risk for educational failure, please contact Stephanie Emberton via email (stephanie.emberton@franklin.kyschools.us) or call 695-6700 to make an appointment for a preschool screening.
Weather Delays and Preschool
If for any reason Franklin County Schools have to operate on a delayed schedule, this will also impact our preschool program.
If school should be delayed for one hour in the morning, the a.m. preschool would also be delayed for one hour; the afternoon program would run on regular schedule.
If school should be delayed for more than one hour, there will be no a.m. preschool, and the afternoon preschool program would run on their regular schedule.
