Students at our elementary schools have organized food drives for the Kentucky State Police’s (KSP) “Cram the Cruiser” project. “Cram the Cruiser” is a statewide initiative of the KSP aimed at collecting food donations for those in need. It is an annual occurrence during the holiday season.
The food drive at each school started on Monday, December 2nd and ended on Monday, December 9th. Since then, all six elementary schools (organized by 4th and 5th grade leadership students) and the Early Learning Village have collected and counted 14,730 items/11,877 pounds of food. These items have been donated to the Frankfort Food Pantry.
Way to go, students and families! Each school totally surpassed their goal of donating 1,000 items! What a great way to spread joy this season! Thank you to everyone who donated. #FCSwins
