Nominations are being accepted for the McConnell’s Extra Mile Award. This is an opportunity to recognize a full-time teacher or educator who is making an outstanding contribution to students’ lives. The selected recipient of the award will be awarded a cash prize of $10,000.
Nominees should be a full-time educator in a public, private, or parochial school system and who have demonstrated exceptional contributions in the classroom, school, and community activities.
The nominee should:
1. Set an example;
2. Be able to inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities;
3. Have respect and admiration of students, parents, co-workers, and administrators;
4. Active and outstanding leadership roles in their communities as well as in their school's community activities;
5. Go the extra mile.
