In the event that we miss more than four days of school for weather–related events, Franklin County Schools will use Non-Traditional Instructional (NTI) days. This program involves students completing course work while at home on a snow day instead of adding makeup days to the school calendar.
Students will have access to all assignments in paper form and digital form (Google Classroom, Canvas, Class Website, etc.). Students have been made aware of their NTI assignments for each class this week. Students and parents should also be receiving emails and messages from teachers regarding NTI assignments. There will be a OneCall announcement made in the future as well.
Teachers are available on a NTI day from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the event that a student needs help with the assigned work. Students may contact their teacher via email, phone, and/or virtually if they have a question about the assignment. Teacher email addresses can be found on the school website.
NTI assignments are due within three instructional days of the return to school. In order for a student to be counted present on a NTI day, they must turn in work.
If you have questions, please contact your student’s teacher or the school.
