As a result of the cancellation of school on Monday, Aug. 21, the Franklin County schools are providing parents or guardians with one pair of eclipse glasses per student on a first-come, first-served basis and only while supplies last.

Glasses will be available in each school’s office from noon today (Thursday, Aug. 17) until the end of the school day tomorrow (Friday, August 18). The parent’s/guardian’s signature will be required, and the Franklin County Schools do not assume any responsibility or liability for the use of the glasses. Again, they will be available only while supplies last. This is being done primarily as a courtesy for those who may not have purchased glasses earlier due to our original plan to keep school open.
