From Nurse Maribeth
We will have height, weight and vision screenings this Thursday for 1st, 3rd and 5th grades. Below is a copy of the letter that will be sent home this week.

According to 702 KAR 1:160 2 (10(a)(b) the Board of Education shall adopt a program of continuous health supervision that includes scheduled screening test for vision. This year the school health nurses and volunteers will be conducting height, weight, and vision health screenings for all students in 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades during the month of February. The data will be recorded in your child’s permanent record folder, accessible only by school personnel with a vested interest in him or her.

The screenings will be conducted privately. If any problems are found during the screening, you will be contacted by one of the school health nurses. Your child will be screened in each of these areas unless for some reason you do not want this to be completed. Please notify us in writing if you do not want the screening completed.

If you have any questions, please contact your school health nurse.

Sincerely,

School Health Nurse

101 Days of School
Friday, February 5th is the 101 day of school!
This year we are giving the school to the dogs, the dalmatians that is! 101 Dalmatians is our theme, we want to encourage everyone to dress up like a dalmatian or a character from the movie.
We are very excited and can't wait to see all the spots!
