Patriots Paying It Forward!

Peaks Mill Paying it Forward!

Benefiting the Access Soup Kitchen and Men’s Shelter

Local businesses and schools in Frankfort have been asked to participate in Kentucky State’s Pay It Forward Campaign. Every business and school was asked to come up with a plan of action. Below is Peaks Mill’s plan. I hope that everyone will participate and make Peaks Mill Proud!

Part 1: On October 17th, Peaks Mill will have a “Duck Dynasty/Camo “ Spirit Day where all the staff and students are encouraged to dress up, in order to participate each staff member and student will be asked to bring in an item that will benefit the soup kitchen and shelter.

Part 2: On November 11th, Peaks Mill will have a “Veteran’s Day” Spirit Day – we wanted to celebrate Veteran’s Day with this cause because there are at least 57,849 homeless veterans on any given night. Staff and students are encouraged to dress up in camo or patriotic attire and asked to bring in $1 to gift to the soup kitchen and shelter.

Part 3: On November 27th, Thanksgiving morning we will ask staff, students and parents to participate in the Annual Access Soup Kitchen Thanksgiving Day walk, through downtown Frankfort. We will have students present our donations before the walk.

What better way to start Thanksgiving Day than paying it forward!

As these dates approach I will send home more information regarding each activity.

Can’t wait to get started!!!

Pay it Forward
