Mrs. Linda Nickel and Mr. Billy Counts congratulate each other for their accolades from the Hearn faculty. Mrs. Nickel was praised for her invaluable contributions to the Hearn family as she served as Interim Principal since January of this year after former principal, Mr. Kyle Lee, accepted a position at the Kentucky Department of Education. Mr. Counts, counselor and all things to all people, was thanked by faculty for his many services to them and to Hearn students. They both were recognized at the FCPS Retired Teacher Banquet in May.

Ms. Betsy, as the students affectionately know her, has served for years as Hearn's custodian. But she doesn't JUST keep the school sparkling! Ms. Betsy is a friend to all students. She gets to know them personally and is their constant encourager. The staff loves her too. Thank you, Ms. Betsy, for ALL that you do for our school.
New Batlists Available for 4th and 5th Grade Battle of the Books!
2016-2017 4th and 5th Grade Students can get a head start by reading novels from the new Batlists. The 25 books on each list will be featured in the school and district Battle of the Books competitions in the spring. All students are eligible to try out for the Battle. Get on board with Battle of the Books books!

Please Help With Hearn's Backpack Snacks Program
Could you donate kid-friendly food to our Family Resource Center's Backpack Snack Program? Please Read More.
Recycle Your Ink Cartridges and Cell Phones With Us!
Please send in used printer ink cartridges and old cell phones. There is a drop off box in front of the Cafeteria and in the Library. You may also send them to  Mrs. Embry (Library). You'll be doing your part for the environment and Hearn will receive $$$ to benefit our students.
Save Those Pull Tabs!!
We are collecting the pull tabs from soda cans to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. This is a place where families can stay for free when they must travel from their home to be with children who are in the hospital. This is another way our students can learn about helping others in our community.
