You HERD it news from the Mighty Elkhorn Middle School

Principal’s message:

We are quickly approaching winter break! I just want to give a shout-out to all our students and staff for their continued focus on improvement. There are always going to be highs and lows in a school year. A productive struggle is often necessary to improve ourselves to new levels of success. We will continue to look at ways we can improve and provide a premiere education for our students. Thank you for all the continued support and praises of what we are trying to accomplish.

Monday Dec. 10th: Volleyball Home Game @ 5:30pm.

Tuesday Dec. 11th: Band Winter Concert 6:00pm 6th and 7th grade; 7:15pm 8th grade and                                          Jazz band

Wednesday Dec. 12th:

Thursday Dec 13th: Volleyball Home Game @ 5:30pm

Friday Dec. 14th:  Choir Concert @6pm for 6th grade and 6:30pm for 7th/8th grade.

 Other announcements:


-Shout out to the 6th graders! We received glowing reviews from teachers and event coordinators for their behavior at the Lexington Opera House. Way to represent the Mighty EMS!

- Help your students enjoy their memories by ordering a yearbook.  Send $20 cash or check to EMS to a content teacher.  Please make out any check to Elkhorn Middle School.

-There will also be a breakfast with Santa fundraiser for the boy’s basketball team Saturday (12/8/18) morning in cafeteria.

Elkhorn Middle School Band supports Angel Tree in a big way…

EMS band students took on a special project this holiday season to support the community. As Band Director Chris Collins contemplated ways the band could do this year to help those in need, he realized that one of his band parents, Natalie Sayre, is a major in the Salvation Army. More +
