Arrival/Dismissal/Visitor Changes for BPE 2019-2020

Dear Families,

Keeping with our continued focus on student safety, we have a few changes to our visitor, arrival, and dismissal procedures. Input from last spring’s audit from the Kentucky Center for School Safety, as well as Senate Bill 1 requirements were used to make these decisions. These changes will be implemented on the first day of school, August 14.  Thank you for your cooperation and for helping to keep our students and staff safe.

Summer Reading Check In!

This summer, Bridgeport Elementary is partnering with Dairy Queen, Poor Richard's, Stockton Mortgage, Beef ‘O’ Brady's. and other local businesses to encourage our students to STAY COOL and READ!

Your child has worked so hard this year and we want them to come back to school ready to achieve.  Children who do not read and stay academically active in the summertime can lose approximately 2 months of accumulated knowledge.  Let’s work together to avoid that summer slide by encouraging your student to READ this summer! Every word counts. Just for reading, your child can earn ice cream treats and tickets to be entered into a drawing for Fall Book Fair rewards including a few $20 gift certificates and school swag provided by Bridgeport’s PTA!

Everthing you need to for cool treats and great reads can be found in your child's GREEN Summer Reading Bag.
