Kentucky Book Fair Field Trip November 14th
Bridgeport second and third graders attended Children's Day at the Kentucky Book Fair on Friday, November 14th where they listened to authors like Debbie Dadey and George Ella Lyon. They also had the opportunity to purchase books from authors and gain their autograph. Our students represented Bridgeport well and we hope that they learned a lot about reading and writing and were inspired to continue both!

Yearbook Presales Begin Nov. 10th

YEARBOOK PRESALES

Nov. 10 – Dec. 12

It’s time to pre-order your child’s yearbook. Our yearbook staff is busy taking pictures of various activities going on at Bridgeport. Paying now ensures that your child will get a yearbook first in the spring and you will save money too. The yearbook is full color, 40 pages, with a page for each homeroom and many candid shots of the kids having fun and learning this year. You will receive an envelope that you can use to order your child’s book. The cost now is $18 and will go up to $20 in the spring. Pay with cash or check made payable to Bridgeport Elementary.

Can you change the world? 4th graders at Bridgeport can!
4th Grade students at Bridgeport Elementary participated in a service project where they brought in clothes to send to an orphanage in Uganda. The children they helped had been rescued from the streets and placed into Save Our Street Children Uganda which is a program designed to make a difference in their country. Bridgeport 4th graders then worked on writing pieces about how they could change the world. Students created a bond with the children they helped in Uganda and even Skyped with them to share more about their interests, education, and culture. They look forward to working more closely with them throughout the school year.
