Technology Fundraiser Items Are In!
We are excited to announce that our Spring Technology BumbleeBee order of snacks and tumblers are in. They are in alphabetical order set up in the library. If your order can be sent home in a backpack you will receive your order no later than tomorrow afternoon. If you have a large order we ask that please make time to pick up your order from the school tomorrow 5/22/2015 between 7:30 am and 3:30pm. If you cannot come during this time you will need to make other arrangements with Mrs. McCoy (kim.mccoy@franklin.kyschools.us). We truly appreciate your support and hope everyone enjoys their items! 
Yearbooks on Sale Now!!!
Yearbook sales going on now. Books are full of pictures of the classes and candid shots made throughout the year. The cost is $20 payable either with cash or check made out to Bridgeport. Supplies are limited, so don’t put off getting one for your child. Thanks for helping to make this year another great year for Bridgeport!  
Happy Birthday to Us!!!! BPE Celebrates 10 Years in Our New Building!
Bridgeport Elementary is turning 10 in our new building so we plan to celebrate!!! The staff and students will be enjoying music, popcorn, and birthday fun at BRAGs this Friday afternoon. Bridgeport is proud of all of our wonderful students and staff and we look forward to 10 more years of academic success.  
Bridgeport Wins 2nd Place Overall at District Govenor's Cup!
We are so very proud of our Academic Team who placed 2nd Overall Saturday, February 28th. Our Quick Recall team (Sanjna R., Lelia P., Nikhil A., Carson B., Preston M., Cameron H., Aathman B., and Luke W.) placed first, our Future Problem Solving Team (Kaylee J., Nick A., Bryce B. Cadence H.) placed 2nd, and we had several students place in content areas.

Bridgeport K-Kids Promoted Kindness in Style
Bridgeport Elementary's Kiwanis Kids Club promoted kindness at our BRAGS celebration to kick off a week of kindness. They had students cheering and learning about kind acts while having fun. Kids were reminded that their actions matter and students/teachers kept track of their kind deeds all week long. We are proud that our Bridgeport students chose to make a difference one kind act at a time! 
Bridgeport K-Kids Help Work Towards a World Record!
Bridgeport Elementary K-Kids are helping to earn a Guinness World Record with the 'Most Kind-Hearted Handprints'. Bridgeport school is helping to be part of history! After our participation in the Great Kindness Challenge we collected cut-out and decorated handprints to symbolize our students’ commitment to kindness. We sent these in to be displayed @ a Dignity Health hospital to brighten the spirits of patients and families. Nationally they needed 31,000 handprints to break the record. We are excited to see if we helped make it happen! 
Technology Summer Camps


Elementary Camp is Full
We have added more space for the 6-12th grade camp, so there are spots open!
Additional registrants for the elementary camp as of 7:48 pm Monday, 5/11/15, will be placed on a waiting list. If we receive enough additional interest we will have another session. So, if you are still wishing to register, please go ahead and do so, and we will follow-up to give you more information.

The Middle/High School camp is now full.
All additional registrants as of 9:00 pm Sunday, 5/10/15, will be placed on a waiting list. If we receive enough additional interest we will have another session. So, if you are still wishing to register, please go ahead and do so, and we will follow-up to give you more information.


The middle/high school camp is almost full. Once we reach the enrollment limit, we will notify all who have enrolled of their status. We will offer another course if we have enough students.

Our camps have been finalized and FCPS Technology will sponsor 2 MinecraftEDU camps this summer.

Camps will be conducted June 15-19 for elementary students, grades 3-5 for next school year, and on July 13-17 for middle and high school students. Cost will be $100 per student, and $150 for 2 children from the same family.

Bridgeport Kindergarten Camp and Registration Information
Bridgeport Elementary is having Kindergarten Registration on May 20 and 21 and this summer we’ll be doing “Camp Kindergarten” on August 5th. If you have a student this age please join us for these events.  We can't wait to add new members to our Bridgeport Family.

Bridgeport is Collecting Box Tops for Education!
 


Please continue to look for box tops for education labels on the products that you use.  Send them to school with your child and Mrs. Gosney will send them in for our school to earn $0.10 per label!  We appreciate your help making a difference for our school.

Intermediate Students are grading on the following scale, as defined by the district on Infinite Campus:

A = 92% - 100%

B = 83% - 91%

C = 14% - 82%

D = 65% - 73%

F = 64% - 0%
