Bondurant Middle School will be offering a
July 11 – 15 from 8:00 – 4:30 for students who will be attending a FCPS middle school next year. The price will be $150 and will include lunch. The application along with more information about the camp are included in the “Application.pdf” attachment. Applications are also available in the BMS front office.
In anticipation of the 2016-17 school year, FCPS is hiring school bus drivers and substitute teachers. Both positions are critical to the school district's operations, and both offer competitive pay. Full time bus drivers also qualify for benefits, including life and health insurance and retirement. These positions may be especially attractive to retirees, parents of FCPS students, and those who seek to supplement their income with a second job (bus drivers) or a flexible schedule (substitute teachers).
BPE K-Kids Serve at the Soup Kitchen!
Bridgeport Elememtary's K-Kids club sponsored by Mrs. Lail ended their 5th grade year with service to our community by helping to serve lunch at the Access Soup Kitchen. We are very proud of their work this school year.
Congratulations to BPE's Teacher and Classified Employee of the Year!
Bridgeport Elementary would like to congratulate Holly Moore who was voted Teacher of the Year for the 2015-2016 school year. Her hard work and dedication to her students makes her most deserving of this award. She is a valuable asset to our school and we appreciate all that she does to make learning meaningful for her students.
We would also like to thank Karen Steele who received the Classified Employee of the Year award for the 2015-2016 school year. Mrs. Steele goes above and beyond caring for the students that attend our after school program Tiger Time. She also takes on many leadership roles within the school including serving on the PTA. Her heart of gold helps to make Bridgeport Elementary a better place.

It is that time of year, and the library needs your help! All books were due back to the library Friday, May 13th. Teachers have notified students of missing books and notices will be coming home on Wednesday, May 18th so please check your child's backpack. It is really important that the books make it back to the library so that they are ready for circulation in the 2016-2017 School Year. If the book was damaged or lost please send in money for the cost of the book so that I can replace it. If you think your child might have turned it in or it is at school please feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will help you look into it.

Bridgeport's K-Kids Club Visit the Life House!
Mrs. Lail and her club K-Kids collected supplies for the animals at the Life House. They then delivered the items to the animal shelter this week. They were given the opportunity to see the impact they made first hand and meet some of the animals that they had helped. We are proud of all of the Bridgeport students who helped by donating supplies and our K-Kids for leading this initiative.
