Bondurant students and staff are invited to decorate a pumpkin like their favorite book character. It’s easy and fun! Students and staff may bring in a decorated pumpkin (real or artificial) to the school library on October 222nd and enter it into our contest which will run October 22 –26. Everyone is invited to vote for the “Best” pumpkin! One cent = one vote. The top three pumpkins will receive gift certificates to the BMS Book Fair.
Contest Rules and Prizes:
Pumpkins, real or artificial, may be painted, hot glued, colored, etc. Decorated artificial pumpkins will be accepted and are preferred. ABSOLUTELY NO CARVED OR PUNCTURED REAL PUMPKINS will be entered into the contest! Real carved and punctured pumpkins rot, attract bugs, and smell.
Pumpkins must represent a favorite book character or literary genre in order to be entered. This is a home project and pumpkins should be done completely by the student.
Small pumpkins may be transported on the bus, but they must fit in the student’s lap and be inside a small shopping bag (per the bus garage).
Prizes will be awarded to the top three pumpkins that promote the most votes (one cent = one vote). All students and community members are invited to make donations in order to vote for the “Best” pumpkin.
Prizes: Gift Certificates to the Bondurant Book Fair.
Pumpkins will be sent home on Friday, October 26th. Any remaining pumpkins will be discarded.
Money can be place on student’s account at one of the café registers (cash or check only) or by using www.myschoolbucks.com (small fee). We need everyone to complete the free/reduced lunch form sent home with your student on the first day of school.
